Village to Common Trail

The Village to Common Trail represents the culmination of, arguably, 30+ years of work looking for a viable off-road connection between the villages center in Craftsbury and Craftsbury Common. Working with local landowners, Craftsbury Trails was able to identify a route that runs from Auld Lang Syne Road on the Common to the Creek Road in the Village. The resulting trail is over two miles of hand-built singletrack, traversing the side of Pageant Hill. Multiple rough-cut cedar bridges span various seeps and streams that dot the hillside.
The trail is open to human-powered recreation (hiking, running, biking, snowshoeing - we don’t recommend trying to ski it). The trail is closed by landowner request during rifle season.
